Thank you for desexing your pet. Desexing is very important for the health of the animal, and helps to reduce unwanted litters contributing to the pet over-population problem, that sadly leads to cat and dog euthanasia in pounds in Australia. For more information about the benefits of desexing, click here.
Animal Welfare League NSW is pleased to use donated funds with partner vet clinics to offer assistance to those who otherwise could not afford to desex their pets. It is intended for pensioners, low-income earners and anyone experiencing financial hardship.
*** PLEASE NOTE: THIS ASSISTANCE IS FOR OWNED PETS ONLY ***
It cannot be used to support Rescue Groups OR animals that will subsequently be made available for adoption OR animals about to be surrendered to or recently adopted from another rescue group. Most cat and dog breeds are included.
To apply for assistance:
- Complete this form to apply for a subsidised desexing voucher.
- We'll receive your request and it will either be approved or denied.
- If approved, we’ll email you a link to pay for the subsidised desexing voucher. Once payment has been made, we'll email you and the vet clinic with the desexing voucher. The voucher is valid for 60 days so you must contact the selected vet clinic as soon as possible after receiving the voucher to book the desexing appointment. Note: some vet clinics book out well in advance and the voucher is not transferable between owners or vet clinics.
- If denied, we'll let you know why.
(If you don’t have a debit/credit card or email, please contact your local Branch to make other arrangements)
